Welcome to my website! I am a lecturing fellow and associate director of the Thompson Writing Program at Duke University, where I teach seminars on American religions, religious theory, and religion and politics. I am currently working on a project called Family Values, a book that traces the history of the religious right in the last third of the twentieth century and examines how “family values” became so important within conservative evangelicalism and the Republican Party.
